Make sure that the manual brake release/freewheel lever is in the DRIVE position. The click indicates the brakes are being released but the motors are not kicking in. I hope this helps- good luck!

SOURCE: Pride Sundancer. Batteries will not charge. both

batterys may be to low for charger to pick them back up.Sounds like new batterys to me .dobble check that charger just in case by volt testing the neg and positive wires on one battery ,When its hooked up .then do the other to see if power is getting where its suppose to be. Your checking for volt changed .Battery charger checks out good replace batterys that should do it.

Hope I was of some help have a good day.

Where can i get brushes for pride hurricane in uk

I would contact pride or a service centre as if you put the wrong grade of brush in the motor you can damage the comm and motor.

The motors are not cheap.

Speed control on Pride Hurricane

hi, the speed control could be faulty, see if you can spray some Wd40 or contact cleaner in the gap and see if that improves things...is it the one with the snail , rabbit speed sign ?

one bar on the indicator does imply low battery power ...is it flashing ? if it is then that's a fault condition

Plugged in to charge battery, red light flashing, no green light on, charged all night still flat, what could be the problem.

Hi. Sounds like there is no connection between the charger and the batteries. The charger uses the voltage in the batteries to regulate the charge. If the charger is not connected then the charger will not operate at all.
The fault can be a broken wire in the charger plug, or faulty charger socket on the scooter. Can be caused by faulty battery connectors, or wiring from the charger socket to the batteries.
Try moving the charger plug in the socket while the charger is operating. These sockets sometimes wear and dont contact properly.
The best way is get someone with a multi-meter and try and trace the fault for you.
Good luck. Neil.

The scooter is about five years old or so, batteries are two years old. Faithfully charged, and well taken care of unit, but, just recently the charger started heating up...very, very hot to the touch...why...

hi, the charger unit is breaking down, Sometimes the batteries can cause this problem but I think you find it the charger, when batteries get older they simply don't hold the charge as much as when new, also the way they deliver power can drop off quicker.

turned off, then turned back on.
