Since the outputs from dvd player are all separate , 1st id look for a plug out or missing from both the display and the player (even if in same housing ) , then id move onto substitution (use small tv run on ext cord from house) as a means to figure out if its the display or player , both can be bought new from gm but you'll need to figure out what one to buy 1st

also in mobile players ,there is a feature that video is muted if car is in drive and not parked on some models b sure this is not yours

I changed vehicles and forgot how to wire the Model DVD2-654 to my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. do you still have a diagram? I am thinking about getting an amplifier and was looking at some of yours.

To wire a Model DVD2-654 DVD player to your 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, you will need to connect the DVD player's power, ground, and audio/video cables to the appropriate connectors in the vehicle.
Here is a general wiring diagram for a DVD player in a car:
  1. Connect the power cable to the DVD player's power input. This is typically a red wire.
  2. Connect the ground cable to the DVD player's ground terminal. This is typically a black or yellow wire.
  3. Connect the audio/video cables to the DVD player's audio/video output. These are typically colored RCA cables (red, white, and yellow).
  4. Connect the other ends of the power, ground, and audio/video cables to the appropriate connectors in the vehicle.
  • The power cable will typically need to be connected to a fused power source, such as the vehicle's battery or a fuse in the fuse box.
  • The ground cable will typically need to be connected to a bare metal surface in the vehicle, such as a metal bracket or the frame.
  • The audio/video cables will typically need to be connected to the audio/video input on the vehicle's radio or entertainment system.
Keep in mind that this is a general wiring diagram, and the specific connections and wire colors may vary depending on your specific DVD player and vehicle. I recommend consulting the user manual for your DVD player and your vehicle's audio system for more detailed instructions on how to wire the DVD player.

Just purchased a 2006 chevy trailblazer and the rear dvd player has sound but no picture. Any ideas?

It could possibly be a wire or plug harness disconnected but the chances of that are slim. If its a flip down screen, it could be that the contacts internally are "wearing away" and the whole assembly may need to be replaced. I will look up a self test or functionality test if you like, to help narrow down the possible sources. Its always a good idea to check all your wiring and fuses just to be sure. It also wouldnt hurt to check the receiver where you insert the dvd, maybe hit it with the air duster in the off chance the lens is dirty

2005 chevy trailblazer cd player won't eject cd

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.

2004 Chevy Trailblazer radio and CD player works, but no sound

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..
