How to upgrade processor on emachine 525?

As far as laptops go, there is not much room for upgrades as far as CPUs go, you can try contacting Compaq to see if they have an upgrade for the processor but that is a long shot.

The other thing you can do it can your local Computer Repair / Maintenance store and see if they do upgrades for laptops.

The critical thing about that is the motherboard. You will need to know what kind of motherboard and what socket it has. Once you know the kind of motherboard and type of socket it has then you can look for a new processor. There are so many factors to consider. With laptops as cheap as they are now days, it might make more sense to just purchase a new laptop.
