o.k. -check for paper jam -check your ink cartridge -unplug your printer for 1 minute -turn it back on -if same problem still exist go to your computer and look in the system tray in the bottom right-hand corner find a printer icon and cancel all print jobs.
5 flashes indicates a faulty printhead or possibly a problem with the p/head contacts. Try removing the head which is easier if you take the cartridges out first(no tools required) and re-seat it having checked the contacts for dirt.
If that doesn't work it may be that the waste ink tank is full. Try this ...

You need to count the number of flashes, usually long green then a certain number of flashes, sometimes alternating red and green flashes. I need to know the number of flashes to tell you what the error is.
I have similar problem. I found this solution that may help you. My problem insists tho.

If you are lucky clean the contacts on print head or change the waste ink absorber may solve the problem , if not you need to change the print head , part code:QY6-0064 or QY6-0042, about 38 $ on Ebay.
