Sewing thread and bobbin thread are not connecting ...bobbin thread is not coming thru

First, make sure the bobbin-winding spindle (located on top of your machine) has been pushed back to the left for sewing. If it is not in the correct position, the needle will not go down and pick-up your bobbin thread. ... Make sure the presser foot is up when seating the thread through the upper tension.

My thread is not catching with bobbin thread

Be sure to use a brand new needle. A bent/damaged needle may not connect with the bobbin thread.

If it still does not pick up the bobbin thread, your machine most likely has a timing issue (the needle arrives at the wrong time to intercept the bobbin thread). There are multiple web sites and videos that discuss sewing machine timing. Or take it for service.

Improper bobbin winding

Check the manual for your machine to make sure you are feeding the thread through the correct guides and connecting with the bobbin as indicated.

Machine is threaded but thread not sewing into material, just holes!

Check bobbin thread....Insert the bobbin thread into the bobbin case in a clockwise direction...pull the thread through the **** on side of bobbin case and slide up into small opening...make sure you pull through about 2 inches of thread to enable upper thread to loop. Good Luck

Can't bring up the bobbin thread

Sounds like hook/needle timing is off. Check it by doing the following with the power off:
remove bobbin, bobbin case, and needle plate.
push needle all the way to the left.
Turn handwheel toward you watching the needle and bobbin housing hook. The point of the hook should line up right above the eye of the needle.

If not timing, clean bobbin area removing lint and thread.

Check bobbin tension, should get slight resistance when pulling thread.

Make sure using only Husqvarna Viking bobbins.
Make sure the bobbin is unwinding in the correct direction.

Remove fabric. Pull extra long bobbin thread (about 3 inches). Hold upper thread tail in left hand, turn handwheel toward you for 1 revolution. Is the bobbin thread caught by the top thread and pulled through the opening of the needle plate?

If you are still unable to sew, take to an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for service or have them send to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Technical Service Dept for repair. A list of dealers close to you can be found at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Good luck.

Thread knotting around bobbin case

hello, I had the exact same problem and could not find the solution until i took my machine to my sewing sensei and i solved my tedious problem. It was actually not a tension problem at all but a threading problem. Make sure you have threaded your bobbin correctly and that when you pull on the bobbin thread that the bobbin turns the right way. (mine must spin anti clockwise to work)  Make sure that when you pull up the bobbin thread using the needle that it is not over the feed dogs connective bar but under it. A big problem when the thread gets caught around the bobbin case wheel is that the thread is looped around the feed dogs once and that causes the thread to get caught around the bobbin wheel. In conclusion, thread the bobbin correctly and read over your instruction book before spending the money to get it fixe in s shop.
