Know where I can get a free software download for the Vivitar 3765?
I contacted the new company over a month ago and they said they purchased Vivitar, could not help me but would "escalate" my request and someone would get backt to me in a few days.
I need to download pics off the camera and have no way to do it. Suggestions?

Vivitar doesn't seem to offer a direct download of their camera software, but you can contact the company directly by following the link below and clicking on the Vivitar Experience Software box:
You can't. The 3765 was designed as a camera, storing high-resolution images (and videos) to a memory card. It was not designed to stream live video to another device.
Hi, The best I can do for you is give you the number for vivitar support. I have looked to see if I could find the installation files and no luck. I am pretty sure that Vivitar can help you. Best wishes.

no not a vivitar website. it is a driver download for old and out of production drivers. not just for cams but any older computer drivers for network, video, etc. there are free driver download websites but require some searching. best way is to look into a driver update program if old software is installed. I use the free version of driver updates from io bit. http://www.iobit.com/en/index.php
more than just drivers too. cleaners, defragers, and uninstallers. all with free versions. might want to check them out
Like all other Digi camera the provided software is not required to transfer images to a Windows computer The computer will do this- plug in the camera set to upload the computer will put up the Camera/scanner Wizard and asked where you want the images to go. No Software Required
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
