It usually unscrews anticlockwise, but check to make sure there isnt a retaining screw that needs removing first. they can be a bit on the tight side

SOURCE: Asko W620 washing machine not spinning

Sounds like the motor brushes need to be cleaned or replaced. Take the back off the washer, remove the motor and gently scrape the excess carbon or debris off the brushes with a pocket knife. I did this and it ran well for about 50 loads before building back up. I am ordering new brushes now because when I checked the brushes last week they were obviously worn more than 4 weeks ago.

SOURCE: asko 10625 will not spin

it is probably the belt, take off the back of the machine and look at the black rubber belt that spins the cleaning drum. The belts break after about 5 years, you can get a replacement belt at you local Asko dealer, I recall that is was pretty easy to change, like doing a bike chain, Talk to you Asko dealer about how to change it.

SOURCE: Water doesn't drain

you could have a bad drain pump.
have you checked the hoses that come from the bottom of the tub to the drain pump for anything that might be stuck in there, also check the hose that comes off the drain pump to the wall and look for an obstruction.

SOURCE: My Asko 6461 washing machine - F3 code

F3 problem, I had the issue on model W6461, however, judging by the amount of F3 issues posted this could work on other ASKO models If the coin trap in the drain is clear of debris, try this. Stages as follows:
1) Open drain pump door (bottom left of machine).
2) Remove black pipe and drain residual water.
3) Unscrew coin trap and remove, use a container to hold the water.
4) Leave the container underneath and make sure you have some towels ready (I didn't at the time)
5) Where the washing machine drain hose connects to the outlet in the wall or U bend connector remove this and expose the end.
6) Blow into the drain hose as hard as possible......hopefully the blockage will clear back through the coin trap.
7) Pour some water into the open end and blow this back through the drain as well.

Result:
A large lump of sludge, three of my 5 year olds small counter coins and about a litre of water (all over the floor, don't forget the towels!)

Just ran the machine now and fault cleared.

Good luck

SOURCE: i have an asko quattro

Hi, Welcome to FixYa. Have you checked the pump to insure the filter isn't clogged, or do you know where it is and how to check it ? If its clogged it won't allow the clothes to spin out enough due to water extraction being prevented. The insert/filter is located on most Asko washer below the main basket door behind a toe panel or square access door. Once found, turn it counter-clockwise to remove it and clean inside thoroughly. Let me know how you do or if you don't understand or even needing more assistance. Thanks for choosing Fixya and good luck. Regards, Macmarkus :)

Where is the lint trap on the front loader

There is no lint trap. There is a coin catcher on the pump. The design of the wash action on a front loader is such there is less lint than on standard machines. One of the bennies of the design.

How do you open the front cover for Kenmore front loader 110.42926200

Sure thing, under the door is a kick panel, held on by three hex screws, standard uses 1/4 inch and torx uses a 9/32 socket. A slight down tug will loosen the panel and behind that you will see the pump at right front. Just to the left is a round soda can shaped housing with a large turn screw lid attached to the pump. Grab a bucket and some towels, unscrew the lid like a jar of peanut butter slowly to let the water into the bucket. This may require two trips and some getting wert. The trap is attached and easy to clean. Next reach behind a gently shake the black boot joining the tub to the pump for coins and lint. The last item is getting a bright light and inspecting the pump through the small hole right side that can be seen once the trap is removed. Check for debris then put a finger in the hole and check the impeller for disconnection from debris/

ASKO w6011 FRONT LOADER

Try to Open the safety compartment using a screwdriver under the wash machine in the front.
Then open the big white knodb this will cause the wate to drain out which is fine.
Then clean this out. Usually you will find coins and stuff here from years of operations from pockets. clear these out and your problem maybe fixed. worked for us

Front drain plug

I have similar issues with my Asko W660. Once it was a key stuck between the inlet to the pin trap and the trap itself. I got it out by jiggling and poking into the trap area with a narrow strip of plastic. Mostly, though, it just requires a stronger grip on the door to the pin trap--the little handle is slippery, and hard to get a good grip on. Try making a grip out of a piece of duct tape, or grabbing the handle with pliers.
