I HAVE A MOTOROLA MODEM MODEL SBG6580 I NEED A PIN

Hi David

The PIN you need for wireless access will either be on a label somewhere on the device itself, or, if not, you'll need to log-in to the router itself to find it.

If you already have a computer connected to the router via LAN cable, you should be able to browse to the router by finding its IP address. This is your "Default Gateway" address on your PC.

Enter that address into the browser, and you should get access to the router. From there, find the Wireless section, and away you go.

My Motorola router SBG6580 is hacked . how do I block the hacker ?

In the router table you should be able to see the offender.. from there you can block them but they may just go to another computer to log on.... But this takes experience.
Most important change your password.. words (wifi) too.. use wifi encryption .. and make sure that remote login on the modem is off.
This is the first level of defense It could be more serious..

In need of a user manual for SBG6580 wireless router

The User Manuals for many of the Motorola modems and gateways are available from Motorola on their support site: http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-EN/Consumer-Support/Cable-Modems-and-Gateways . Select your model. On the next page, use the drop down menu to select User Manual in the Select A Topic drop-down menu. Then click Search. The direct link to the manual for the SBG6580 is http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/US-EN/Home-and-Office/Cable-Modems-and-Gateways/SBG6580-SURFboard-Wireless-Cable-Modem-Gateway/Documents/Static-Files/SURFboard_SBG6580_UserGuide.pdf . Note you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the file.

I hope this helps.

Have an SBG6580 and purchased a NETTALK DUO (VOIP). Which is trying to connect but can't. Tech support at Nettalk tried to change some settings but it looks like modem is still blocking the port. ...

The only way I got the NETTALK DUO to work keeping my SBG6580 is to use it in cascading mode with my old Linksys router. When I plugged the DUO into the Linksys it worked great.
