Router is rebooting every ~10 seconds, general procedure for factory reset of Linksys routers doesn't help
SOURCE: I Upgraded RV042 to latest firmware from Linksys Site and now Router Continually reboots
i think there might have been some sort of virus(spyware, adware, trojan)
SOURCE: Factory Default Reset Procedure
Hold the reset button in for 10-15 seconds... Now its defaulted back to factory and the user name and pass will both be admin
unplug 4 about a minute, then plug back in this will reset the router as well
SOURCE: How do I remotely reboot a Linksys WRT150N Router?
Try loging into the router's user interface and do a restore factory settings, but don't try if the wan ip was configured through static or pppoa
SOURCE: I have a linksys WRT54GS router, every couple of : v7.50.2
I have the same router and had the same problem. I replaced the power supply and then put the unit on a UPS battery. Now it never goes down.
I have found that it 'gets clogged' .. I mean that the buffers dont get cleared if I do a lot of inbound video streaming. I can still make it hang by doing that, but the reboots have stopped since the UPS.
Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.
Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.
Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
Step 4 Release the Reset button.
Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.
Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Thanks, Joe
Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure.
