Fill hose, or float assembly has a problem with its gasket, which will cause it to do that. The float assembly itself could be the problem, if the unit is draining fine I would say that the sump and drain lines are fine.

Fill line or water inlet valve itself as well could be the issue.

My dishwasher pump pumps out the water but won't turn off even if u open the door.

Leak detector on bottom of machine has got wet
Un plug machine and dry float on leak detector
Or turn machine on its side allow water to drain off flood device
Important make sure no power going to machine while doing this

The most common culprit is the heating element. Try ohming out the heating coil to make sure it's not open.

Dishlex dx301 dishwasher, the spray jets are blocked and dishes aren't getting cleaned properly

Do you live in an area with hard water? If so, hard water deposits cause 2 problems. They clog your spray arms and they leave a cloudy film on your clean dishes. Here's a map to tell if you have hard water. http://www.citriclean.net/why-citriclean/ And you can get a free sample of CitriClean if you request.

Water pumps into the bottom of the dw but the spray arm doesn't rotate and spray. It also empties, so the problem seems to be with the spray arm. Any solutions?

Whirlpool dishwasher has food particles baked on.

Heating element may fail. This will lead to the machine stopping part way through its cycle

Pumps. There are 2 pumps in most dishwashers. The drain pump,( which describes itself -it pumps the water out of the machine.)
The recirculating pump which forces the water at high pressure through the spray nozzles and arms. (This is how the cleaning action is performed)
These pump may either leak, or burn out. Either way, the only solution is replacement.

Dishlex Global 300 Dishwasher

Thomo, make sure the sprayer holes in the spray arms are clean. Grains of rice seem to be a dishwashers biggest enemy as they don't desolve and eventually end up lodged in the spray holes. The holes at the end of the spray arms are the ones responsible for the washing out of the soap powder from the dispenser, if they are blocked this does not happen.
Hope this helps
Cheers
