Bad igniter? Could be a safety control telling the furnace not to light. Check to see if the furnace has a diagnostic indicator. If so count the flashes and then check the diagnostics list inside the door or in the owners manual. This should narrow the problem down.

Air conditioner starts and is working, then stops after 15 minutes. Basement unit & blower outside both stop at same time. Trane XE78 on the indoor unit and Trane XE 1000 on outdoor blower. Thanks!

It's a trane. Lol expect it. Sounds like a drain issue, check the float switch

Trane xe 70 cycles through the gas release cycle but fails to ignite the burners, upon inspection it appears that the igniter isnt glowing

Either the circuit to the electronic ignitor is bad or the ignitor (electrode) itself has failed. Either are not difficult to replace, but you will need a circuit tester to troubleshoot which part(s) needs replacing.

Had my Trane XE 70 serviced and was told I need a new ignitor module. Then was told it can't be ordered and is no longer available. Also, that no generic replacement will work with my unit. Model number...

all furnaces by national code must be 80% eff or higher whitch negated the productions of th replacement parts for such units. I tried to find a burner for that model w no luck

I have a Trane xe 70. The Heat is not turning on. The ignitor will glow but NO gas or blower. I turn on the fan and the blower does work but not when HEAT is selected on the t-stat. Also the LED light...

Check to see if you get 24 volts AC at the gas valve from the circuit board when the igniter is glowing. If yes, bad gas valve or blockage in gas train. If no, bad circuit board or broken wire

unless you have a meter youneed to see if the unit is asking the fan to turn on. if so the fan (which i doubt) maybe gone bad or the starting capasitor for the fan... is there anyway of checking the voltage to the fan

Possible problemis due to a thermo-couple that has seen better times. If I understand your system correct I would check that.
