I had a similar problem with my Navman F20 (no sound through speakers but OK on headphones, through the T1 module). When I opened the back up, I found that the speaker connector had come loose from the PC board - it looks like it's a **** fit anyway.
Undo the two screws holding the case together and gently prise the two shells apart, I used a broad bladed kitchen knife. I found that the speaker plug had fallen out of the socket, popped it back in and Bob's ***********'s brother.
Hi, if it is the same as the F20 you can enter the Maintenance Menu by pressing Power and Main Menu button at the same time for a couple of seconds .
Scroll down to the Utility menu by using volume keys for up and down, then press menu button to select. From there select the sounds menu.
You should be able to play a choice of sounds, on mine its Mary had a little lamb. If that doesn't play then its the speaker thats gone bad.
By the way to escape to previous menu press the navigation button on the bottom right of unit.
