SOURCE: motorola e815 CDMA cellular phone unlocking software free download
The Motorola E815 is a CDMA handset. CDMA (code division multiple access) is a digital service only provided in the United States. Unfortunately, CDMA handsets will only work on CDMA service. Therefore, the phone you are referring to cannot be used overseas.
GSM (Global System for Mobility) phones are the ones that can be unlocked to provision for different SIM cards. Once a GSM handset is unlocked, or "unbranded", it can be used with any GSM provider's SIM card.
Sorry for the bad news, but your E815 will not work in India.
Please rate as at least helpful, as there will be no Fixit solution for your situation.
