If you are using a Windows software, right click the wireless icon and click View Available Networks. Left click the name of your wireless connection and then enter the password located at the bottom of the router.

Your wireless network is secured and thats why its asking for the network key. If you dont remember the same, contact your router manufacturer or ISP and get the router reconfigured
