Sansa mp3 player could not detect micro sd add on card

I believe you can fix it by going on the player, then to settings, then to USB mode, and switching it from MTP to MSC. If you're in MSC already and it fails to recognize, then I don't know. :(

Usb flash pen drive

Often it is due to electrostatic charges on usb. Unplug all USBs.Unplug PC from power cable for 10/15/ minutes. plug back computer to power outlet and restart. Plug back usb.
If it still does not work , flash memory may be faulty, test it on a different computer.

i have bought kingston pen drive 8 GB..d problem is that files get corrupted...there r all sorts of different symbols instead of the actual file name...the space occupied by it also changes somehow....i tried formatting it but the problem persists.. i encountered same problem with my earlier SONY 4 GB PEN DRIVE(vaio)... please suggest some remedy..
