Generic host process for win32 services

I am getting the following error

generic host process for win32 services

when i connect to the internet , and after that i wont be able to browse the internet.

and i have to reboot my machine to get connected again to the internet , and the same will happen after some few minutes
of my connection to the internet ,

i have tried to use truesword4 and sdfix but i was unable to solve this problem , the same error is appearing
causing the disconnection of my internet connection


my system configuration

intel D101 With 3.7Ghz Processor
win xp
Avira antivirus
1gb ram

Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error is a broad issue.microsoft has a patch for this issue.You may download the patch KB894391, to fix this issue.

Alternatively you can do windows update manually (Note that the above patch solution and the following windows update solution works only on PC/computer running genuine Windows and not pirated versions):
  • Go to the start menu
  • Right click “My computer”
  • Click “properties” then the “automatic updates” tab
  • Choose “turn off automatic updates”
  • Restart your computer
  • Go back to start menu and in all programs go to “windows update” you have to be connected to the internet
  • Manually update windows
  • Turn your automatic updates back on
You can also try the following solutions to fix this error:


Solution 2:
  • Go to Run and type regedit
  • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SYSTEM >> CurrentControlSet >> Services >> Browser >> Parameter
  • look for the key IsDomainMaster
  • Set its value to False
  • Restart the computer

your probably infected with virus. get a good antivirus like kaspersky and then download combofix and scan with it. see if that helps your problem.

Dear sir,

Please send me patch or give a proper solution for this error "Generic host process for win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close". After coming of this error, my net automatically disconnected and if i want to reconnect then i have to restart the pc. This error comes during the internet surfing and comes in after 1 or 2 mintues. Please send me the patch or solution,
