How to get my laptop reset to the original factory settings?
Go to the laptop maker's web site and look for a restore CD.
If you don't find one there, send them an email and explain your problem.
A Google search with the laptop make and model and the words "restore CD" might work.
Last resort is format the hard drive and re-install the Operating system.
Most laptops do not come with an OS cd, but the license key is on the bottom.
Here is a link to various Windows operating systems you can use with your CD key.
Download the appropriate Windows 7 .ISO file which includes Service Pack 1
(Note: must match what your product key version is for)
