Why doeant dometic icemaker not putting water in tray

Replace the water supply valve, it's only half working, its located in the bottom back with icemaker and dispenser water tubes going to it.

The water tube is clogged up, It may be frozen up by the water tray.Defort it or blow it out.

The water solenoid valve controls flow to icemaker you can put 120 volt to it and see if it opens .If it is good then its not getting power when icemaker calls for fill

The first thing to check is the tube that puts water into the icemaker...this sometimes freezes up from a leaking water fill valve..if so, this blocks the water from filling the i/m....if its not frozen up and is clear(open) then your fill valve is bad or your icemaker module(if equipted) with that style...

I'm sorry I don't have a solution...I am having the same problem, except the water has stopped in the ice machine. I have the same make and model refrigerator. Is it common for the water valve in the back of the frigerator to go bad? Is the valve easily replaced? Where can I buy the valve? Is there a trigger in the rear of the freezer where the icetray connects? I also took my ice tray out and it doesn't seem to fit back in correctly. I'd rather take the ice machine apart myself before I call a technician who will charge me an arm and a leg! Any further advice would be appreciated. Thank you

you need to troubleshoot the problem, if the wire arm that tells the ice maker to stop making ice when full is in the upright position the ice maker will not make ice. the problem has to be either the switch on this arm malfunction. but probably in MOST cases it is your electronic water valve which has gone out. this is located on the water supply line on the back of the fridge at the bottom probably behind some cardboard or plastic. it is the same kind of water valve as a dishwasher uses, if it malfunctions it will not deliver water to your tray, manually fill the tray and put the arm down, if the maker dispenses the ice out of the tray, chances are your electronic valve is broken.

This also happened after I changed the water filter. The small black rubber tube that fills the tray was plugged with ice. Instead of hot wash cloths I used a hair drier for a couple of minutes.

Just had this issue - after checking all line connections, I pulled the ice maker feed water line from the back of the unit and found the tube was blocked with ice. Melted the ice with some hot water, and all is good once more. I would check for this before getting into the solinoid.

could be a limescale problem blocking line,or solenoid falure,

replace the icemaker fill switch in the icemaker its self its a micro switch behind the gold panel on the front of the icemaker
