Dryers don't need Shipping Bolts, only Washing Machines. The drum is supported at the back bearing and at the front by the drum rollers. A washing machine has a completely fluid, free moving drum to allow for uneven loading which is evened out during the spin.
if it is new you may need to remove the shipping rods that keep the drum secure for shipping look in the back there should be two of them if its not new I don;t know the answer
were the drum support brackets removed after purchase? you may need to open the front access panel and remove two brackets that support the drum during shipping. also at the rear are support screws that need to be removed
Not sure of particulars of this vehicle, but normally you must:
1. properly jack & support vehicle.
2. cannot have the emergency brake on, as this will prevent removal.
3. Remove tire.
4. Often, if this is the first time to remove, must remove some small retaining clips on the threads of the lugs. These are for factory shipping only, I usually destroy them in removal & discard.
5. Slide the drum off. Sometimes it requires the drum to be gently worked off if the brake shoes are in close contact with the drum.
The main thing you need to do, is to remove the toner bottle assembly, drum unit and developer unit. There is a small black stopper you'll see once you pull out the toner bottle unit. Remove the stopper and the tray holding the bottle will slide out of the machine. The drum unit has a thumb latch on top of the unit and all you have to do is open the right side door, release the lever and remove the drum unit. DO NOT TOUCH THE DRUM! The developer unit is below the drum unit. There is one screw holding a silver piece of metal which secures the unit in place. Loose the screw and fold it down to the left and then remove the developer unit. These steps will keep toner and developer from spilling out into the machine. Good luck.
The spacers are not important , And the rollers are not self lubricating , just add a couple drops of any weight of oil on the shafts before sliding the wheels on. You can add a few drops on the idler arm/belt tentioner as well while your in there.
Lube and clean dryer every year and it will last a long time.
Hope this helps.
