My microwave seems to have a mind of its own it keeps wanting me to reset date and keeps beeping for no reason at random times

Have you tried replacing the little round battery inside that holds memory when all other power is out. it is usually under one of the covers on the back where your memory is as.

I advice you to contact service if it has guarantee. This seems to be a psychological problem about your oven(!). Technical person need to do an electronic research surgery on its board to see if there is any wrong thing.

Hi, this is usually a bad touchpad. The way to tell for sure is to kill power to the unit, take the control panel down and unplug the ribbon connector that connects touchpanel to the clock. Put it back together and reapply power. The clock will just sit there blinking and, obviously, the buttons won't work, either. if the beeping stops, then the touch panel is bad. And If it still beeps, then you have a bad clock.

hey i have the same problem. how log does it do it, how many beeps and how quicky. We have a danby also the 1.1 bought it about 3 years ago.

There is a reason. Try to reprogram the unit. Start w/menu: date, time simple stuff. This should take care of it.

wow.......... an exorcism may be in order.......Sadly your microwave circuitry is malfunctioning which is a costly repair. I would seriously consider trashing that possessed unit and purchasing a new one. the new ones are greener too, use quite a bit less electricity

The fan will come on if you are cooking below and the area gets hot.... is this when it happens? Sometimes random beep could be a power blip... not long enough for a reset of all things electrical

I have the same problem with my microwave, the clock disappears and it says "enter" and "amt", I figured out it's the "beverage" button that is sticking. When I want to use it I just press "beverage" and then "reset" and just press them over and over until it stops. Usually it's on the first try, sometimes I have to press them a few times. Just don't do what I'm about to type though, I decided to get my razor knife and cut the button out carefully, I only cut the contacts on each side of the button, now no buttons work, I should have left it the way it was, at least I could use it that way.

Maybe u should contact ur retailer or the manufacture helpline and tell them your problem they might be able to tell what's wrong.
