First of all start with the basics, Hampton remotes will only work with Hampton fans. If you have a different brand of fan then you need to get the complete remote kit with receiver unit. If you open up your remote, you will see a place you can select a code configuration. This should be set identical to the code configuration of the fan. You may have to take off the cover of the fan to see the code. Or keep changing the code configuration in the remote, until it starts working.

Joel, to configure your new remote you will need the tv code. Have you tried getting help from your tv cable provider? But if you have the code, your remote instructions will guide you.

I would try a Harmony 650, they are cheap and programmable online.

REINSTALL THE BACKED UP CONFIGURATION then your set

• Connect the system to the electrical current.
• Press the button M and of the remote control and keep them pressed down for at least
5 seconds.
• The clock digits show the first configuration item (rAdr = remote address) and the temperature
digits show the default value of the respective configuration item (Ab = control of both indoor
units).
• Press the button M repeatedly until "ASt " appears.
• Press the buttons ∧ or ∨ to change the default value (OF) to the new value (ON).
• Press the button to send the new configuration to the unit.
• Press the button to exit the configuration menu.

NOTE

To ensure the remote controls your devices properly, you must disable Net Command.To disable Net Command you must delete all devices associated with it.

Open the Mitsubishi Television's setup menu.
Select Delete at the setup menu.
Select Entire Configuration and then select Next.
Follow the onscreen instructions to delete the entire configuration.
To finalize your selections and complete the NetCommand setup, select Finish from the finish screen.
