Here's a check list for you:

  • Check the power and all connecting cables and cords for damage and that they are securely attached
  • Be sure the power is turned on, if it has it's own power button
  • Check the speaker itself for damage.
If the power is working and the cords/cables appear to be in working order, it just might be that the voice coil in your speaker is blown, especially if the rest of the speakers still work. You might either have an audio technician look at them or simply purchase a new speaker set.

Unable to receive optimum output. The bass is totally flat !

Hi, ok the Bose Acoustimass III system consists of two small cube speakers and one subwoofer unit called the Acoustimass bass module. If the subwoofer stops working, three points can be the cause of the failure. The Bose Acoustimass III is a passive system, meaning the speakers do not power themselves, but instead are connected to a receiver or amplifier. Thus, the amplifier, the speaker between the amplifier and the subwoofer, or the subwoofer itself could be the issue.

Things You'll Need:

* Amplifier
* Speaker cable
* Extra subwoofer

Instructions

Disconnect the speaker cable from the back of the Bose Accoustimass bass module and connect it to a subwoofer that is known to be working. If the subwoofer works, the bass module needs to be replaced.

Disconnect the speaker cable from the back of the receiver or amplifier you are using and from the back of the subwoofer in Step 1.

Connect a speaker cable that is known to be working between the back of the receiver or amplifier and the back of the Accoustimass module. If the module starts working, then the cable was the issue.

Disconnect the speaker cable from Step 3 from the back of the amplifier or receiver, then connect the cable to the subwoofer port on the back of an amplifier or receiver that is known to be working. If the subwoofer works, the receiver was the issue. If the subwoofer still does not work, verify that the speaker cable is in the subwoofer port of the receiver/amplifier and that the cable is connected securely to the subwoofer.

If you think you did the connection properly,Fine... If not you can use the manual from the below link and know how to connect it properly..

Philips DC912/37 will not pair with the subwoofer. I have had the device for 2 years, and the subwoofer stopped working recently, and now it will not pair with the tuner.

This worked for me. Try it and it should work for you all as well..;-)

Frequently asked questions See all FAQs Question How do I get the main unit to recognize the subwoofer? Answer Wireless connection will set up automatically when you switch on both the main unit and subwoofer.
Sometimes you may encounter the problem that the main unit does not recognize the subwoofer. Try the following process to solve the problem:
  • They are heavily interfered by other wireless home appliance such wireless network, TV etc. Move the subwoofer to another place, the main unit will auto detect & recognize it.
  • Switch off the main unit and the subwoofer and then switch on them again. The main unit should recognize the subwoofer automatically.
If neither of the above works, try to pair with them manually.
  1. In standby mode, press and hold the 090518075138_27245.gif button on the main unit (PAIR flashes on the display screen.) to activate signal transmitting.
  2. Press and hold the PAIR button on the rear of the subwoofer (You will find the LED indicator on the subwoofer flashes in blue and green alternatively) to activate signal receiving.
The wireless connection will set up automatically and the main unit should recognize the subwoofer now.

Subwoofer stops working at times and will not work.have had it about 4 or 5 days just started doing it today

many pple have the same problem.... that subwoofer stops working sometimes when playing music or something else... I also faced the same problem .... I did the following things..

open your subwoofer. checked all connections for any loose contacts... and then check the wire of the main speaker.....

IF YOU FIND DIFFICULTIES IN OPENING OR IF YOU DONT KNOW MORE ABOUT THE INTERNAL PARTS OF SUBWOOFERS.. THEN DONT TRY TO OPEN IT.. YOU MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO IT...IN THIS CASE :

GIVE YOUR SUBWOOFERS TO THE SERVICE CENTRE FOR REPAIRING...

Try to check speaker fuse (could be low impedance resistor) inside the unit. But the most possibility is the Power Transistors are defected.
