Lost the cord to connect the pen to the Leapfrog reader. Where can I get a new one.
SOURCE: I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.
I am having the same problem, contacted Tag (who is only there during work hours which really does not help) they supplied me with an alt connect file. That did not work either. Have you found a solution yet?

SOURCE: Tag will not update
I have had the same problem!! Running windows 7 64 bit. I am stuck in the same do-loop. I tried different usb port (as advised), downloaded 2 different installers from their web site, and verified the tag reader is "seen" under the USB controllers on my PC.
You also should check the following:
With TAG reader off, plug into USB port - if it does not automatically turn on device is defective.
IF it turns on do the following:
Click on the Windows start button (the small icon lower left of your computer). in the search box that comes up type devmgmt.msc and the device manager will open. Scrool down till you see Universal Serial Bus controllers and verify you see the TAG reader listed and verify there is no ! (exclamation point) next to it. If you see the exclamation point it may mean the driver is missing. If this is so right click and select properties, on the driver tab click update driver, on the next screen select browse my computer for the driver software. If you need to specify where to look try c:\Program Files\LeapFrog\LeapFrog Connect\TagUSBDrivers.
This was not my problem so I am still stuck - hope you solution was this easy. Anyone with any ideas I would appreciate help also. Customer service was unable to resolve.
