The lock on the Powerledge is not too difficult to pick. A home made pick or buy a small lock picking tool set (less than $20). Without any training you can pick it in five minutes.

Poweredge 1950 won't start

this is common, if your place was cold its possible that something has died when turning on again, you could try and pull out ram in an order to see if one has failed, get the memtest download and make a boot disk to test the ram has not become faulty, test each stick alone, Hiren boot disk has all the good stuff for testing, its a free tecky tool for engineers.

Dell poweredge t110 server Amber error light on front panel blink one time

Had the same thing happen to me today and in my case it was a code 18 as they come...
It started while I was installing a video card adapter for a dual monitor setup. The solution - I had to simply close the side panel I had left open for testing and then reboot the server. The intrusion alarm went off.

How do I open my power edge to replace RAM. I t looks like it is riveted in back

You can conveniently crack open the case without tools by swinging open the door that covers the front bezel, using your fingers to untwist a setscrew that lies underneath, then sliding off the side panel

DEll Poweredge 2450 no chassis key

On the face plate where the key plate is numbers, most college will have the key . I open them quite often with a paper clip and small blade screw driver
Or remove the pins on the hingeside of the face plate if this is the U2 platform
If you not find any help send me the numbers for the key needed and I will see if I can find the key you require.
Thes locks are not too secure and from all the 2450 and 2400 even 2550 I work on only 4 keys total
