It could be a bad defrost timer. The evaporator fans stop during defrost. This is the closest service manual I can find but it is 795 Series.

Defrost problem when the defrost process fails to reach the required temperature to properly de-ice the cooling coils.

When you cycle the power you reset the code and it takes a day or so for the unit to cycle the defrost. Suggest that you ensure that the vents are not blocked.

We have a kenmore elite refrigerator modle number- 795 7756,7757 and it has been making a humming noise very constant now after two weeks, what could it be?

Look for a lever to select cube size right on the icemaker.
