Stereo volume doesn't effect Aux input volume

I recently purchased a zune and connected a standard RCA to 3.5mm plug to the aux input and it sounds OK but it's not loud enough for highway driving and the volume knob does not effect the volume of the sound coming from the speakers, only adjusting the zune volume does anything. Am I doing something wrong or is this a "feature"?

In a car stereo system, when you select line input, it usually assumes the device you are connecting has its own volume control. if you really want to use your cars volume knob, an FM transmitter might do the trick.

I have a Panasonic SA-AK 67 Can any one tell how to connect it to my phone using aux cable

Hello Zubair, to connect your phone to the SA-AK 67, you need a cable that has two RCA connectors (White and Red) to a 3.5mm stereo jack
The RCA connectors, you connect them in the AUX input that is on the rear panel of the SA-AK67 and the 3.5mm stereo jack, in the headphone output of your phone
You select Aux on the Panasonic, you play something on your cell phone and you're done
I hope you find the information useful

How do I hook up my ipod to my pioneer vsx d409 ?

The best way is to use a 3,5mm stereo jack to 2 RCA cable like this:
technical114_34.jpg
You can easily find one like this at your local audio/electronics shop or buy one on line. You have to connect the RCA at any free stereo input at the back of your Pioneer (like aux or cd). Take a look at this picture:
technical114_35.jpg
After this you can use the 3.5mm stereo jack for connecting not only your ipod but every mp3 player or other device has an earphone jack. Just plug the 3.5mm jack at the earphone jack and rise the volume at the portable device up to the middle of the volume range and set your Pioneer input selector at the stereo input that you connect the 2 RCA before (aux or cd)

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

No sound out of subwoofer when zune connected

I assume you're using red/white rca connections. if so, set your amp sound mode on that aux input to stereo, or go into your amp menu and change front speakers to small.

Connecting a Zune MP3 to the HT-X50

Get an Aux cable(about $10) and connect it to your Zune player and to Aux 1 on your Sound system. Make sure you change your function to Aux 1. Do not connect USB or anything else. That's working for me.

Can i hook a surround sound to my zune

It is usually as simple as getting a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA adapter, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3359117 (this will work just fine, even though it says 'ipod')

Or they have "Zune Ready" adapter kits, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3004031

Once you have the cable, you stick the headphone plug (3.5 mm stereo mini-phono) into the headphone jack on your Zune, then you insert the red and white RCA jacks into an open input on your surround receiver... most have an auxilliary input jack set on the front of the unit. All you need to do at this point is select the "aux input" for the source on the surround receiver, start your Zune, and make sure the volume on the Zune is somewhere in the 50 - 75% range, and you should be good to go.

Hooking up home theater

Run a regular RCA type audio cable from your TV audio out to your Home Theatre audio in. That is what I have done recently with my Samsung LCD and Home Theater. You then have to put your Home Theater on Aux 1 or Aux 2 to get the sound from TV. Ensure your TV's volume is off.

Auxilary RCA inputs have no volume control

Your problem stems from the fact that the CDA-7892 is not equipped with an RCA aux-input jack. If you're plugged into RCA connectors at the back of the head unit, they're outputs, not inputs. The sound you hear is just feeding back through the outputs and into the head unit's amplifier. If you want to play your iPod through this head unit, you need to purchase either the auxiliary input adapter (KCA-121B) or iPod adapter (KCA-420i).
