you can now perform a boot function download, press Function 99 and enter. PW 028510 Enter , 9 enter, 6 enter, 2 etner, if prompts for host press enter, 1 enter, cancel, Configure terminal or call help co. put into boot function. this will take you out of boot function. unplug terminal and hold down void, offline and plug back in. hold down till 2 beeps ar heard. you will be asked to enter information you gathered from earlier.
Power up the terminal -- should display "Swipe Customer Card".
Press Function 3 [enter] and immediately hold down and continue holding the 1st, 3rd, and 5th keys in the second column of the terminal. (This will put the terminal in boot mode) Please Initialize or Call Help - FE **If this response does not appear on the terminal repeat this step. Press Function 98 [enter] (This will clear all the page memory (software) in the terminal) Correct Yes or No? Press Enter The terminal will go through boot sequence and respond with Please Initialize or Call Help - PE.
Confirm the procedure by unplugging then powering the terminal back up and it still displays -- Please Initialize or Call Help - PE. after the boot sequence
1) Make sure your terminal is on the main screen: “Swipe Customer Card”. If the terminal does not say this then hit the CANCEL button until it does. 2) Press FUNCTION, 10, ENTER. 3) The terminal will prompt for a password. Type in 0000 ENTER. 4) The terminal should prompt you to enter the date. Type in the date in MMDDYY format then hit ENTER. The terminal then prompt you for the time. Enter the time in HHMM format, in military time. For example, 3PM would be 1500. 5) The terminal should automatically go back to the “Swipe Customer Card” screen. Check to make sure the date and time have been updated (it should be displayed on the main screen). If they have not, then repeat these steps up to two more times to make the change stick.
