Original remote is lost. The guide screen comes on for aprox 4 minutes before the program can be seen, is there a way to stop it?

can you let me know if you got help for this? the gude plus menu is blank and keeps popping up in the middle of a show for no reason. then the picture goes out behind it. the sound works ok though.

1. When you cut on you tv the guide pops up.
2. On the tv remote there is a button that says "menu" hit that and the screen should go away, i just did it myself because i have my tv program with that Jumbo Universal Remote Control and just ran into that problem.
3. How to just program it out of the tv when its cut on all together, im on the hunt for that answer myself.
4. Try going to manufactures website and try trouble shooting for your make and model, that is what i am about to do right now. Cable tv has the guide so i don't need my tv to pop up its guide also.. you now.. good luck

You should be able to unplug the TV and let it sit for a few minutes and when you plug it back up and it wants to go through the setup cancel out of it.
