Flap on the outside of my kitchen exhaust fan never shuts completly

There is a flap that closes when it shuts off, it is gummed up with dried grease. Spray some wd4O on it ...

You should use a exhaust fan ,so that the heat generated by the refrigerator which makes your kitchen warm or hot can go outside ,and your kitchen will be not be that much warm as it is now...so go for an exhaust fan..which will keep your kitchen cool ...no matter how much heat is generated from your refrigerator...

Make sure you check your exhaust line and where the air blows to the outside. If your exhaust vent or hose is bent or restricted it will take a very long time to dry the clothes. you mean the convection fan don't you, the one inside the oven.if it's coming on by it'self you need a new control/clock you will need the complete model # to make sure you are getting the right one about $200.00 retail price

Not likely, Just a condition of the location of the vent and the wind direction.Putting a secondary larger hood over the outside exposure will sometimes help alleviate this.

you definalty should feels air moving, providing hte unit is ON. when not in use there should be mo draft( minimal at best) if there is still a draft when unit is off, i would check where it exhausts outside, there should be flap tha closes when not inuse

The flap door is probably stuck open. find where it exhausts out of the house and see if the flap is free.

You can remove the exhaust turbine unit with one screw and reinstall microwave and buy a braun external exhaust unit that fits over the hole where it is at the roof or wall and all of the noise will be outside and it will actually work. It is weather proof and will **** steam or fumes out like the best vacuum cleaner.

Depending on where it is vented you probably wont be able to stop the air. Take the grill out and see if there is a door flap that is supposed to close when the fan is off. If not your out of luck.
