Question about Jenn-Air JED8430 Electric Cooktop
Removed cooktop to replace counter top. Replaced. Burners work but lights not working.
You have probably accidentally disconnected some wiring whilst moving it need to re explore

well usually you have to remove the knobs. thentake all of the caps off of the burners. sometimes there are scres that hold the burner caps on. make sure you turn the power off. Then after you have done this the glass should come right off. If not there may be screws under the cooktop. Do these first steps and let me know how it goes.

need to replace the ignition coil.no adjusment the unit is power operated 1st check the plug,outlet or main swicth sometimes not properlly connected.

Epoxy would not work. If it is a very small chip and is NOT STRUCTURAL or in the heated are you could TRY the adhesive used for rear view mirror to glass attachment.
