I'm assuming this is the Bravia "Scene" button that activates your custom sound and video settings, like cinema and sports and such.

Does the rest of your remote work? It's possible that the one button on your remote doesn't work. See my other post here (Cannot control receiver from remote) to check if your remote is working by seeing if the LED's on the end light up. Try buttons which do work, like volume, channel, menu, whatever and look for the LED lighting up. Then press the Scene button and see if the LED lights up. If it doesn't and you've tried pressing firmly, then likely the button is dead and it's time for a new remote. It's very rare, but it can happen. Talk to your sales centre or manufacturer for assistance.

If it does light up, and other functions on the remote work - then it's possible you can only use the Scene feature on the remote when the TV is in a different "state". For example, you might not be able to use it while watching a movie or show, but you may have to enter a menu first. This sounds silly - why have a button that only works some of the time? Because sometimes engineers (or the guy who develops the TV software) are forced to make things in a less than ideal way, for one reason or another. Now, as to what menu you might have to enter - try the general Menu, then try Settings, and look for something like "picture", "setup", "scene". After each on-screen menu change (if the image on the screen changes), try the "Scene" button again.

Good luck!

The Bravia menu comes up across my screen. It will go off when I hit any button on the remote & then come back on. the model # is KDL-32EX301. How do I get it to go away?

It's caused by the Bravia Sync feature. It doesn't always connect correctly. When there are issues then attempts to sync up cause the menu to appear.

The solution is to switch off Bravia Sync.

Go in to the TV's set-up menu, and choose HDMI Set-up.
Scroll down the menu list and choose Control for HDMI, then set the menu option to OFF

Let us know if that fixes the problem for you.

I ripped Bluray movies using "ANY DVD HD" to my hardrive then playing them through "WD TV Live HD Media Player" (using HDMI cable to Sony Bravia HD L.C.D.TV) some movies work good but others play the video...

Either check around in Any DVD HD or the BluRay menu to set audio output to PCM, which doesn't require any decoding to play back properly or you will have to convert them separately.

Sony bravia dims randomly

There should be a setting in the menu of the TV to turn off the auto dim feature (used for adjusting the brightness of the picture depending on ambient room lighting) I don't have a Sony LCD here with me to walk you through the menu settings, but I am certain it is there somewhere. (Chased this issue for the wife who had the same displeasure you're having)
