I have tried the below directions without luck with my region 1 DVD player (see my question below):
1/Turn machine on without disc inside
2/Press menu button
3/Enter 29334
4/A highlighted 'region area number' will appear in the upper left corner (some players)
5/Press 9 to change the region number to multi-regional
6/Turn machine off
Question 1: Has anyone successfully change from region 1 to region free?
QUESTION: when I click on menu I already see a '1' in the right-hand corner (before clicking on anything else). Do I need to go to a submenu? Am I supposed to get a visual result after I enter "29334" and then "9"? Also, from the main menu the only enabled options for me are timers and setup. The others are disabled.
Different DVD or Blu Ray players have different working mechanics, if you ask "how to make Blu ray region free", you will certainly get different answers. You may find an answer on VideoHelp which offer a lot of such kind of solutions.
If you only want to remove or change the region code on the player, then you can use a DVD copy program to make a perfect copy of your Blu Ray disc, only without region code.
You can try Leawo Blu-ray Copy which can do this.
