I remember this headset being difficult for people to get in pairing mode. You can find instructions here. H700 Different Paring Instructions

SOURCE: Problem with Blackberry Pearl 8100

Open the boom on the headset and hold the button until it turns purple. Go to "Setup Bluetooth." Click "OK" when it tells you to be sure the device is in pairing mode. When the list of devices comes up, choose the H700. Enter passcode "0000."

The device will appear in your paired devices list in the "Setup BlueTooth" screen. Close the boom on the H700 then reopen it and hold the button until it turns purple. Click on the H700 in the devices list. Choose "connect."

This worked for me.

SOURCE: H700 connects then disconnects self

Sound like a defect, I've seen this problem before right out of the package. Bring it back to the retailer and they should swap it for you. Good luck!

SOURCE: trouble connecting h700 to phone

First: When charging the light should be steady. If the battery is less than 20% charged it should be red. More than 20% it will be yellow. Fully charged it should be green. Make sure your microphone is closed when charging.

Second: Have you "Paired" the H700 and the phone? If not you need to. To put the H700 into "Pairing Mode" do this:

Make sure the H700s microphone are is in the off position. Push in and hold the button on the H700 until the light lights up purple. Release the button and quickly open the microphone button. The light will stay purple and you are now in "Pairing Mode". Now follow the instructions for your phone to pair with a BlueTooth unit. When it asks for a code, use 0000 (that is 4 zeros).

Your phone and H700 should now be connected.

Hope this helps a bunch!!!

SOURCE: Motorola H700 pairing

It's important to note that the pin has to be entered while the light is still violet. On the phone, begin searching for bluetooth devices. With the boom closed, hold the center button until the light turns violet, then immediately flip the boom open. The phone should immediately find your H700. However, to pair successfully, you must enter the pin (0000) while the light is still violet. If the light goes off, close the boom, enter 0000, and while the phone says processing, hold the center button until the light turns violet and flip the boom open. The light on your H700 will turn blue, then flash rapidly, and your phone should say that it has paired successfully.

SOURCE: i have a blackberry storm

Hold down the connect button on headset until steady purple light comes on, then open the boom.

Search for Bluetooth devices on the phone. When asked for a pin, use "0000". Now the H700 will show up in the Bluetooth device list, but it will not connect. Put the headset in pairing mode again, this time go to the h700 listed on the phone and select connect. Now the devices will work as normal. When you open the boom on the h700, it will connect to the phone.

I have a h700 bluethooth and dont have a manual. what color should the light be when connecting to the phone, in use, and charging.

The indicator turns red when charging and turns green when fully charged. The headset will flash in purple when it is in discovery mode (mode where it is looking for a device to be paired with it). If it has already been paired with a device it is blue and then flashes blue when it is paired. The link for the manual is below. http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/manuals/QG-H700_9499A88O.pdf

Just received a brand new, in original packaging, ...

Your headset should enter the pairing mode just by opening its boom. If it has never been paired before, it will be in pairing mode right away. Otherwise, make sure that the bluetooth radio of all devices preivously paired with it, are turned off (or, at least, out of reach). As soon as its boom is opened, and it can't find any paired device active, it will enter the pairing mode. Once your headset is in pairing mode, make the bluetooth application of your phone search for new devices. After a while the H700 should appear on the phone screen. Select it and make the application connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). The pairing process should be done only one. All subsequent connections between any two previously paired devices should be done automatically, provided that their bluetooth radios are on and with each other's reach.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.

H700 Motorola BT earpeice, no indicator lights aside from a green

Same thing happened to me. I call the support center and if you bought it from a 3rd party, it is probably a software problem. See if you can get a new one or buy it elsewhere.

My motorola H700 keeps staying red when charging

Wait, how long have you waited for it to charge? It's supposed to stay red until over 80% charge, then switch to yellow. When it is fully charged, it goes to green. When you mean it stays red when plugged in, have you waited the 2 hours?
