SOURCE: unknown device

I beleive that you had downgraded and installed a retail version of XP by erasing the preinstalled version of Vista in your Notebook.
However, all the drivers required for your Notebook may not be available with HP if your Notebook is preinstalled with Windows Vista.
I recommend you to try downloading and installing the drivers for HP Quick Launch Buttons from the link below for the first Unknown device in the Device Manager :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38266.exe

Save the file on to the Desktop or My Documents folder and double click once the download is completed to install the drivers.
For the Ethernet Controller, I recommend you to download the LAN Card Drivers from the link below :
ftp://210.51.181.211/cn/nic/INSTALL_VISTA_6208_0922.zip

Coming to IEEE 1394 controller, you need to download and install the Chipset Drivers which are available through the link below :
http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/nForce/15.24/15.24_nforce_winxp32_international_whql.exe

Make sure that you download and save the files in the Notebook and double click them once the download is completed and restart the Notebook after installing each of the drivers provided above.
Hope this helps...

Code-28 driver acpi compliant system

right click on the driver with error and uninstall it. Restart your computer to install the generic drivers. Usually, computers generate their own generic drivers for the hardware parts in your computer. After doing that, update all drivers. You can find the updates in the website of the manufacturer. However, if you would like to get the correct drivers in no time then you can use RadarSync.

Battery not charging in lenovo y410 laptop

If the charger cannot charging is the problem, then you need to repair the Battery management software, because you say that the battery is working, then the error should be on the software, that it doesn't indicate that the battery is charging, first go to Device Manager (Right click My Computer, select Properties, click Hardware, click Device Manager) by type "Device" on the start menu and select Device Manager
Expand the Battery categories and right click on Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listing, and select Uninstall
WARNING: Do not remove the Microsoft AC Adapter driver or any other ACPI compliant driver.
On the Device Manager taskbar, click Scan for hardware changes

Please let me know if it's working

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

Cause of the Code 28 Error A Code 28 error is caused by a missing driver for that particular piece of hardware. There are any number of reasons that a driver might not be installed for a device but your troubleshooting of the problem will be the same no matter the root cause.
Resolution
  1. Restart your computer if you haven't done so already.

There is always the slim chance that the Code 28 error you're seeing in Device Manager was caused by a fluke with Device Manager or in your BIOS. If that's the case, a reboot might fix the Code 28.

  2. Did you install a device or make a change in Device Manager just before you noticed the Code 28? If so, it's very possible that the change you made caused the Code 28 error.

Undo the change, restart your PC, and then check again for the Code 28 error.

Depending on the changes you made, some solutions might include:

    • Remove or reconfigure the newly installed device.
    • Roll back the driver to the version prior to your update.
    • Use System Restore to undo recent Device Manager changes.
  3. Update the drivers for the device. Installing the latest manufacturer supplied drivers for a device with the Code 28 error is the most likely solution to the problem.

Important: Make sure you install the drivers for the correct operating system. For example, if you're using Windows 7 32-bit, install the drivers designed for that specific version of Windows. Many Code 28 errors are caused by attempting to install the wrong drivers for a device.

  4. Install the latest Windows service pack. Microsoft regularly releases service packs and other patches for their operating systems, one of which may contain a fix for the cause of the Code 28 error.

Note: I do know that certain service packs for Windows Vista and Windows 2000 have contained specific fixes for some instances of the Code 28 error in Device Manager.

  5. Replace the hardware. As a last resort, you may need to replace the hardware that has the Code 28 error.

It's also possible that the device is not compatible with this version of Windows. You can check the Windows HCL to be sure.

Note: If you still think there is still a software/operating system component to this Code 28 error, you could try a repair install of Windows. If that doesn't work, try a clean install of Windows. I don't recommend doing either of those more drastic options before you try replacing the hardware, but you may have to if you're out of other options.
Please let me know if you've fixed a Code 28 error using a method that I don't have above. I'd like to keep this page as updated as possible.
Applies To The Code 28 error could apply to any hardware device in Device Manager but most Code 28 errors seem to affect USB devices and sound cards.
Any of Microsoft's operating systems could experience a Code 28 Device Manager error including Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and more.

Here is the lenovo site for the drivers for you pc. Only download and install the xp driver versions...after which you should be able to update the drivers for the devices that have the yellow color and should not have any problems installing.

You can also check the windows update site...do a custom update and search for drivers...sometimes new driver versions can be downloaded that way.

Hope this helps
