How do reboot my acer no disk

To access the recovery partition on your Acer computer for a full restore, follow these steps:

1. Power on the Computer
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the left ALT KEY and press the F10 key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings
4. Click OK
5. From here, the eRecovery process will replace all the data on the C:\ partition and restore the factory image.
6. After eRecovery has run, press OK to reboot.

NOTE: All data will be lost during this process and your computer will be brought back to it's original factory state and settings.

If this fails because you have deleted the recovery partition or changed the hard disk due to failure you will require a restore CD.

The Restore CD costs approximately $19.95 (plus taxes) including shipping. If you have a unit from US or Canada, you may purchase the recovery disc from Acer store : Acer Store
If you have purchased the computer in any other country, you may contact Acer support here : Acer Global Support

Im trying resore my acer back to factory settings

Did you press 5 times

If you do NOT have a copy of this disc, skip to step 3 for further instructions. Once you restart your computer, a screen will appear with the words. Press Any Key to Boot From CD. Once you press a key, a screen will come up containing instructions to format your hard drive and restore the original factory settings. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the installation. Once the restore is complete, remove your Recovery CD from the disk drive so that your computer does not try to boot from the CD again. Restart your computer to complete the restore. 3. If you do not have a System Restore disk, then your computer should have a recovery partition on your hard drive, separate from the main partition of the disk. Unplug all external devices and restart your computer. When the loading screen comes on with the Windows logo, press Alt+F10 together five times. This will bring up the system restore menu. Follow the on-screen prompts to restore your computer back to the factory settings Hope this helps.

I have an acer aspire one D250 laptop and I tried to reboot and restore it. Now it lead me to a blank page that says B00TMGR is missing.press Ctrl alt del to restart. I tried to use ALT F10 and nothing...

*** Remove any external monitor as it will make entry into BIOS utility and recovery process difficult. ***

The following is from pages 29-30 of the 52-page D250 UserGuide.pdf located in folder C:\Book

I want to restore my computer to its original settings without recovery CDs.
This recovery process helps you restore the C: drive with the original software content that is installed when you purchase your notebook. Follow the steps below to rebuild your C: drive. (Your C: drive will be reformatted and all data will be erased.) It is important to back up all data files before using this option.
Before performing a restore operation, please check the BIOS settings.
1. Check to see if Acer disk-to-disk recovery is enabled or not.
2. Make sure the D2D Recovery setting in Main is Enabled.
3. Exit the BIOS utility and save changes. The system will reboot.
Note: To activate the BIOS utility, press during POST (Power On Self Test).
To start the recovery process:
1. Restart the system.
2. While the Acer logo is showing, press + at the same time to enter recovery process.
3. Refer to the onscreen instructions to perform system recovery.
Important! This feature occupies 6 GB in a hidden partition on your hard disk.

Acer Aspire One, ZG5 ~ A disk read error occurred, Press Ctl+Alt+

After searching and reading many doomsday comments about this error message and what it means and what caused it, I found the simple solution with the Acer Aspire One ZG-5 mini-laptop displaying the "A disk read error occured... Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" error message, the probable simple solution is to Press Alt+F10 during reboot and the laptop will go into the Acer eRecovery mode.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • It may or may not ask for a password or require creating a password, this password will be required to use eRecovery in the future. If you forget this step, you will need the recovery disks in the future to reformat the system.
  • Also please note that depending upon the options you choose you may lose any data on the computer because it restores the original operating system as the computer came out of the box.
  • Also, because restoring or recovery is a lengthyprocess you will need to plug the computer into the AC power supply.
Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen to restore or recover the operating system.

Also, it is a good idea once you have restored or recovered the operating system to go on the Acer website and download any patches or updates available.

Hope this helps.
