How close should the temp control hold the temp

This Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. The problem is due to the door latch and specially one of the two micro switches is not contact properly that is why when you cracked little the oven can work little better. So all you need is check the latch at the back and if nessesary replace the latch
(do not delete)

more than likely there is an issue with one of the temp sensors. you will need to press and hold clear then upper on off at the same time then release them then immed. press clear 3 times and hold on the 3rd till the service screen appears. on the right side you will see internal temp and catalyst temp they should be equal or very close. ill bet one of them is alot higher than the other if so the sensor will need replace but depends which one is bad as there are 2 of them. if the problem is on the lower just repeat above but use lower instead of upper

HI, You will need to check the oven sensor(s) wires that link the actual sensor to the main control board. Make sure that the contacts are connected properly, and not loose, or corroded. If all the wiring checks out, test the sensor for the correct resistance readings.(you will need a multimeter for this test)

The most common oven sensor should be approximately, 1100 ohms when at room temperature. The others may be close to as follows:

100°F - 1143 ohms
200°F - 1350 ohms
300°F - 1553 ohms
350°F - 1654 ohms
400°F - 1753 ohms
500°F - 1949 ohms

If the sensor test is adequate, and the wiring is Ok at the control, this will lead to a failed control board. replace the control in this case.


NOTE_ There are no thermocouples listed under the model number you posted.

Hello,

You can calibrate the oven on this model. Press the bake button, adjust the bake temperature up to 550 degrees and then press and hold the bake button until a 0 displays. Now you can adjust the oven temperature up or down to match the display.

Here is a repair manual link that you can use to download frigidaire repair manuals. The one for 30 inch freestanding ranges will have the section on calibrating the oven's electronic control.
