For most Toyota vehicles, to be safe you should change the timing and accessory belts, associated belt tensioners, thermostat, water pump, coolant, plugs, fluids, and filters every 60,000 miles.
Look at the "rear" of the engine where it joins the transmission. Follow the positive cable from the battery to it. Cog with the 'teeth' you see engages the flywheel to start the motor.
Caution on what to put in the LX470 automatic height adjustment system. Dealer said unless correct fluid is put in the system the seals may fail. Specifically warned against break fluid. Cost to repair is over $3,000. I bought a can of the fluid at the Lexus dealer for about $26. The can was approx. 1/2 gallon.
