Computer works but will not let wireless connect, does this have naything to do with wireless?
No, this icon with the nine indicates Num Lock is on, which is normal.
There's a lot of possible reasons for not being able to connect to wireless networks.
Have you been able to connect before? If yes, have you changed anything (e.g. installed software) lately?
Otherwise, you could check Network settings from the control panel, to see if the wireless adapter is installed and on.
For solving this problem you need to give some more information: what is it you're not able to do? Can you see wireless networks, but not connect, of can't you even see any wireless networks...
Push this button to activate or deactivate the Wireless LAN. When you activate the wireless LAN function, it will search for a wireless LAN signal automatically (assuming you have the wireless LAN driver installed). Just below the screen on the right side is the Status LED Panel, which show six icons, each with its own LED. The first one on the left indicates Wireless LAN status. When the LED is displaying a green light, it indicates that the system is accessing data from, or retrieving data by wireless LAN. So whenever you press the Easy button, you should see the green status light come on or go off. To repeat, if the light is not on, you need to press the Wireless LAN 'Easy Button'. NOTE! If you can't get the button to come on, you will need to re-install the Wireless LAN driver.
