You can find the drivers for your Mecer Z140c laptop on the Mecer website. Go to the Support page and select your laptop model from the list. Then, select the operating system you are using (Windows 10 64-bit) and download the drivers for Network and Sound.

You don't format a hard drive "back" to something, when you format a hard drive all that happens is that you rebuild the platter structure. If you can run Win 8 is an easy question, that you can answer yourself. Go to the microsoft site and download the Windows 8 system (upgrade) check program.

Your missing the driver, You need to find out what manufacturer made your sound card or on-board audio processor, you can often do this by looking at the manufacturer's information on your model computer. They also usually have a menu for downloading the drivers. Make sure your using the drivers for your appropriate Operating system, " XP/Vista/7 " and that the driver is for your exact model computer.

The BIOS is seeing the drive but your computer can only see about 120-130 GB of harddrive. If the drive has a pin option to limit it's size you may be able to limit it then install windows but if it doesn't you're back to looking for a smaller drive.
