Sounds like you have set a feature to do that sort of thing called index marking. Player are designed with this sort of feature to help users jump to a specific spot in the movie in this case automatically. It can be most annoying. Sounds like an index mark setting needs to be adjusted to suit your needs or switch off if you don't want it.
If you are familiar with your remote control unit there will be a menu button. Check your instruction manual. Manufactures display helpful indicator icons bottom of the display indicating what on the remote control does what functions.
Pressing the remote control menu button displays the on screen menu. You can navigate by toggling though the menu using the helpful on screen icons to the index setting function looking for cancels, off and reset functions. It is more likely to toggle to settings where you will probably find where the index mark setting is found. The helpful on screen icons will show you what button on the remote control will closed the menu probably the exit button.

I had this issue on my LG blu ray player before and found a fix. Link is attached, but here is the summary of the issue: Turns out is was an audio issue that causes the restart. Quick fix is to hit the audio button when the movie starts (near the bottom of the remote) and use the ">" button to change the audio to "2 Eng" (2.0 CH). It's the TrueHD audio of 1.0 CH that causes the system error. I believe you may encounter this on a few other recent Disney releases with TrueHD audio (not sure if your disc is from Disney as well). Not sure if there is a firmware update to fix this, but it's worth a shot to call the 1-800 number on the top of the player. (1-800-243-0000 LG Support)
