On the side of the flash drive there is a switch which you move to the front for write protected, just move the switch to the back you can write data to it again

Forgot system pass word for dell insprion laptop

If you have forgotten Windows administrator password then it is difficult to recover so you need to reset it. You can use manual password recovery methods or password recovery software (such as stellar phoenix password recovery software) to do so.

Forgot system pass word for dell insprion laptop

heres directions on resetting in safe mode if the battery fails

Hold F8 as the computer boots before the os boots and then select Safe Mode option (not the others) The computer will boot up from here, but there should be an additional "Administrator" account. Log in to this account (There shouldn't be a password, but if there is, try "admin") and navigate to the User account panel in control panel. From there, select your account name, and select the "Remove Password" option

Could not open my usb

Open my computer in windows - start/computer (vista). If there a removable device being shown. if you remove and reinsert does anything come up? If nothing comes up but it shows in Computer, right click on it and choose the format option (assuming you have not saved anything on it yet). If the usb can be read on another computer without issue, usb device is ok and usb port on your computer is at fault. test with another usb key or device you know works. if it does then your key may have an issue, or may be in a format your key does not understand. can be UDF or FAT.

I'm a beginner and would like to copy a photo on this usb key in order to take it to the photo store to have a picture made. How do I have to proceed?

Depending on the photo store you go to, they can probably read the photo directly from the USB key. Just take it in and there should be a USB slot on the front of the self-service kiosk (if they have them) or the assistant in the store should be able to help you.

I didn't click safely remove hardward device when I took out my flash drive, now it won't recognize my flash drive at all. It will work on other computers so I know the flash drive doesn't have a problem.

This should have nothing to do, with the safely remove hard ware option.

Plug the USB key back in and check your device manager for conflicts? If the usb key is listed as a conflict, uninstall it and then reconnect your usb key.

Also, is this computer on a network... if so, it may be a coincedence, and a entire issue all together.

Put it this way, if the USB ports on your computer still work with other devices, and your flash drive works with other computers... nothing is wrong with either. Something is just probably conflicting with it
