SOURCE: hard disk no detect in installtion of window

You need to give windows installation the drivers for your Sata-Bus by pressing F6 while the installation load the drivers (like when we want to install on RAID drive). or do the following method follow the links in that page for Slipstreaming VIA Serial ATA drivers and the other link to create a boot CD Creating a bootable Windows CD with Nero.
it's all in the following link: http://weblogs.asp.net/jkey/archive/2005/08/28/423901.aspx

SOURCE: how to install windows server2003in ibm server x3400

The install is fairly easy. Before you begin make sure if you have SCSI adaptors installed have the drivers for them on hand. If you do not have these drivers you should download them to a 1.4MB floppy disk. When you are ready, put the Windows Server disk in the cd/dvd and reboot the IBM. Follow the instructions on screen and you shoud be fine. From start to finish it should take you about 1 1/2 hours to complete everything.

Good Luck

SOURCE: ibm x series 226 attempt to install os and says no harddrive

you need to press f6 to install third party raid drivers when setup starts...then set will ask you to insert the floppy containing the files...It will ask you when you get to the same screen that tells you no harddrive found....The raid drivers are on ibm's website...just takes a min of poking around

Windows xp installation

Hello,
if you have the space on a separate disk drive, I wo recommend installing Windows XP on a seperate drive than the server os and create a dull boot server. You would install the XP os as normal. When ask where to install, choose the spare drive other than where the server os is installed. This should allow Oracle to run as you need it.

Good luck

I cannot install windows xp in ibm x3400,the system is currently raid5,it shows message hard disk not detected. thanks

I believe your HDD must be a SCSI disk whose drivers might have come along with the HDD.While installing XP it gives an option to install third party drivers for your HDD, Hopefully after that it would start detecting

Install windows xp on a IBM xseries 200 8479 computer

You have to download the scsi driver from the ibm site. You'll need a floppy and floppy drive. When you boot with your xp cd to setup press F6 to install driver.

Link to your IBM. Since IBM have different models you have to type it at the provided link.
