SOURCE: Color is wacked - too yellow, blue half moon at top of screen

WS-48315 uses two of the STK-394-250 convergence IC chips---if blue or red will not adjust both chips along with any bad protect resistors around them need to be replaced and the set adjusted.

Both chips can be purchased for under 30 dollars on Ebay---this may not be a job for a do it yourself person--requires soldering skills and ability to get at the chips and un-solder them and replace them.

This set was first made in 2004---if you cannot do the repair yourself--shop around your area---most shops charge at least 300 for this repair and some will not do it in your home.

You have to decide first if you are able to do it or if not if you want to spend money to get it fixed.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR NEED ADVICE let me know---I am here to help.

SOURCE: distorted colors on my mitsubishi wd-73727

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs. To get fixed either call in a local TV repair company or goto sites such as Tv Repair Kits to get a repair kit with instructions. Here is there link.

They have put together complete kits for most models that include the parts, step by step photo instructions, repair assistance, etc.

Sony Trinitron's colors have turned green yellow

Only yellow color denotes the absence of Blue color. Check it. Check its video output card for any loose solder terminals at the blue color output section circuits.

Have a Sanyo big screen tv but need need to adjust the color, to yellow!

Need to know if older set with picture tubes---turn color off--if yellow screen you have a loss of blue of some sort--red and green will give you a yellow screen. If set has the 3 picture tubes look inside in the lens to see if all 3 have a image---little or no blue means a problem there.

Why do i have a green screen after i turn the screen adjustment screw?

since every display color monitors are only work with 3 primary color which are red, blue and yellow. You could also search it that by mixing these colors, you could get any color your want. Thats how color monitors work. Now in case of green color, it creates by mixing blue and yellow. When you are turning the screen adjustment screw, the red color plug will become lose, makes it appear green.
I hope your got the reason.

My tv screen when on turns yellow then after a while it will switch back to normal colors what can be wrong with it....

Televisions covered: all Projection with yellow picture, but not Projection TVs with a yellowish tint surrounding objects in a nearly normal picture.

Yellow = red + green
normal picture = red + blue + green (RGB). See illustration.

Fig. 1 Additive color mixing in an RGB monitor, or RGB Projection TV.

The circuitry powering your blue output, or the blue light engine itself is starting to fail.

Operating Theory:

The lamp module shines a bright light into the optical unit; there are a series of lens and baffles, and at the top of the light engine, a lens puts the picture into a mirror which is reflected onto the screen; All video and color is processed thru the light engine. Blue most commonly fails first, leaving a yellow picture.

Screen got yellowish color

Sounds like overstressed video cable, at least that wire for BLUE signal, 'cause when image is yellow - the BLUE color is missing.
Open the monitor and ring coaxial wire in blue insulation.

Yellow Haze Center Screen

The blue filter is burnt out. A very common problem in Zenith DLPs. There are 3 color filters, 1 blue (a pinkish color), 1 green (a grayish brown) and 1 red (it is red) they give you your colors for you picture. This is a simple fix.
