Downloading audiofiles from Olympus VN-960PC

I've just purchased, set up, and installed the software (on the enclosed CD) for the Olympus VN-960PC.

Nowhere in the documentation is instructions for transferring the audiofiles to my PC.

I've installed the software, which is supposed to detect the Olympus VN-960PC when it's plugged into the PC's USB port, but it doesn't detect the audio recording device.

How do I transfer these audiofiles to my PC (for transcription)?

    I have the same problem! When I connect the VN-960PC to my computer it doesn't recognize it and I can't upload my files. this is annoying. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I figured it out.

My VN-960 wouldn't recognize because windows didn't have a driver for it.

With the Install CD still in the drive, Go to the control panel, New Hardware, then wait for it to finish searching. Click on My Hardware is connected, then choos the Digital Wave Recorder, and then find driver. It should install the driver and Work now!

Probably a bit late but I got my Olympus VN-960PC Digital Voice Recorder to work on my MacBook Pro running Win7 with Bootcamp by using this site and DL's from there....

The VN-960PC is compatable with Vista 32 Bit systems but not 64 Bit systems.??
