I have a Janome sewing 521 sewing machine and the bottom thread keeps jamming. It will sew approx two stitches then pick up. Have rethreaded top and bottom thread s many times. Please help

indicates that the needle thread tension is not tight enough
disregard the tension settings
threead the machine correctly and before putting the thead in the eye of the needle pull on the thread
I foyu do not feel significant resistance to pulling the thread , thne check that the thread is between the tension plates or increase the setting up until you get that resistance , then thread the needle

My singer is not dragin thread from eather top or bottom please help

Download a free manual at www.singerco.com under customer service because you need to rethread totally, Once you have rethreaded it, try pulling on the top thread with the presser foot up, it should pull smoothly, now put the presser foot down, pull top thead again, it should barely move. This should seat the thread in the tension discs. Also, check that your needle is inserted right, flat side facing the rear of the machine. Good luck

It is the bottom bobbin tension and it is model 621B not 6218 as I had originally typed. The bottom bobbin makes oddles of loops while sewing and the top tension is fine.

What is wrong is that you haven't got it threaded right on top. Try this test, with your presser foot up, pull on your top thead and it should come smoothly, then put the presser foot down and try it. it should hardly move. That way you know that the tension discs are connecting with the thread. Whenever it is not right on the bottom, always look at the top threading, just the opposite of what you think. Also, put in a new needle and make sure that you thread is of good quality and not tangled.

How do i adjust the bobbin thread tension?

Refer to page 15 of the manual - http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html

Before changing the tension settings, be sure to thead the machine with the presser foot up as this also has a tremendous effect on the tension and formation of the stitch.

Fixing the bottom thread when it sews loose

It could be that you threaded the machine with presser foot down.

When the foot is down, then tension control is closed and the thread cannot seat for proper control to the needle.

What appears to be a bobbin problem is actually the top thread not having the tension needed (thead is not where it should be within the tension control) to form a stitch.

I just moved cant find book for sewing machine. what is the standard setting on the machine? theard will not lock on the bottom of garmet

Contact White for a manual - http://www.whitesewing.com/customer.asp

If you thread the machine with the presser foot up, the stitching should be okay.

Zero for straight stitch and anything more is zig-zag.

Bunches of threads on the bottom

Try threading the machine with the presser foot up.

This opens the tension and allows the thread to seat into the tension control.

When the thread is not properly seated, there isn't any tension on the top thread the bobbin thread cannot make a proper stitch with a top thead that is loosey-goosey.

SEWING MACHINE WILL NOT STITCH ON TOP OR BOTTOM. EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE THREADED CORRECTLY AND NEEDLE HAS BEEN REPLACED.

Always thread a sewing machine with the presser foot up - this will make sure the tension feature has control of the top thead.

Make sure the needle is properly placed - usually with the flat side toward the back of the machine.

Bobbin thread not feeding properly

The tension used to wind the bobbin is not wright, remove all the thread and rewind the bobbin. Make sure that you put the bobbin in place exactly as shown on the image, I didn't in the beginning and couldnt figure it out, now I now IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PLACE THE BOBBIN CORRECTLY.
