If you've managed to loose or forgot your Notebook/Laptop password there is no way to hack it or to get rid of it with Clear CMOS
> Clear CMOS will often bring up the question for a Supervisor password !!

Your only chance to revive your Notebook is to contact your dealer/shop or the notebook manufacturer and ask for help there
PROOF of OWNERSHIP needed !!!

This is the only help you'll get here - too many stolen Notebooks in the world with too many people trying to hack their passwords !

SOURCE: computer is password protected and don't know password

My company offers this service for $50 per computer but I'll tell you how to do it yourself if you're halfway savvy. Download the Microsoft ERD Commander, burn the iso image to a dvd, change the boot sequence on the laptop to boot to cd/dvd first, the ERD commander will install and prompt you which operating system you would like to manipulate. Select your operating system rather than none. A small windows environment will open and you can select locksmith from the start menu. This will allow you to reset all passwords. Reboot while removing the disk, and you're in.

SOURCE: can't remember my password on hp 6000 computer how

Are you talking about the BIOS password, or the windows password?
A hard reset will probably reset your BIOS password (see this thread),

To reset your windows password, you need your XP CD-ROM and follow this instruction.

I have a toshiba tecra a8 pta83e when i switch my laptop on a black screen comes like DOS and written on (alert: system protection failure! password= ) so can u help me and...

JAN 2018 post. answer above forgets the owner has no PW.
wow. that said that clearly to me above;
that PC has rechargeable battery deep inside. (oddly)
the above poster only fixes Change PW never LOST PW.
ok?

Lost PW or dead battery fixes.
this pc , turn it on, and let it charge the RTC battery deep inside,
Thoshiba is the only PC that does this Ni-Mh battery deal.
and only charges turned on.
after charging this battery below
turn PC off then on the see if the PC asks for BIOS admin Password, if yes post back or read my 2 other A8 posts here
with the 12 steps to clear this PW. ok,
if the NVRAM scrambles (as all do A8 if parked in shelf for say a year) then the NVRAM scrambles and now the PW is lost.
so it ask for PW, if you
power on and hammer the F1 key, BIOS may POP to 1st screen
then hit BIOS reset key for, return to default settings.
then exist and save.

proof

the USA A8 manual quote, read that carefully !
rtc2-p4jtowbtouygind4aa4y4bam-3-0_0.jpg that last line above, is OMG , really? and is true.... must be left on for say 24hours, 1hr min, I guess.
also the battery this old will be bad, In most cases,
sorry never seen a 12 year old Ni-Mh any good anywhere.

I bought a laptop and put password to sign in but its been a while the last time i use my laptop, now i tried to sign in but i forgot my password

Hi:
The only way you can get back into the system at this point, unless you remember the PW, is to reinstall windows with the option to keep structure intact, this will install a fresh copy of windows while keeping your files safe. The other option you have is to reformat the drive and start fresh. But of course you will loose the files that are already on the system but it will at least allow you to use the computer again. Next time I suggest you do as I do, someone who forgets PW's all the time is buy a memory stick and keep all passwords on it, you might want to password this also but if you forget it also, then your're still stuck, so use one you will allways remember no matter what. Or purchase a program called password keeper.

I have a staellite pro a200 and its asking for hdd1 password . and i need some help on this or the password if possibal. thank you r.s.hussain

Is this before or after your OS boots up? PW crackers such as OPHcrack will give you most or all OS passwords; BIOS-set passwords can be reset with boot-level tools on external media as long as the machine will boot from them or you can reset the BIOS to boot from them- if I remember, you can password the HDD in the BIOS independently of the BIOS PW protection. If you cannot access the BIOS, you'll have to open the case, remove the motherboard battery, and possibly manually reset on the MB.
