How do I find the source I need to get the picture on the screen?

SOURCE: Blue screen appearing

not matching resolution. reset the settings to factory default. if it still has the problem, then swap cables. there may be a short or a break in the cable or connector.

try to switch the way of output, so that choice suitable screen output way.

certainly, it is possible with compatible problem. review your projector instruction, check it can support USB function or not by the manufacturer.

It say no source found
Hello Abugah,

For "no source found" errors, we recommend starting with the input device and the wires (assuming you have selected the correct input on the projector). Swap wires and sources until you figure out if the problem is with the projector or not.

If you are using a computer, make sure that it is on the right settings. On laptops there is usually a button you can press to cycle through display options (normally a function key + another).

If you figure out that it is, in fact, a problem with the projector we recommend going to a professional to fix the problem. If you are in the United States we can fix the projector. Projector AV Systems Repair Services

Before you send in the projector to anyone, contact Optoma to see if it is still under warranty.

When i connect the projector to my computer, all it says is no input selected. i need help with this IMMEDIATELY!!!
make sure the computer has the output screen signal enabled on the external rgb connector. you can confirm this by connecting an external lcd monitor to the pc. swap the pc vga output to the projector.
then make sure the vga/rgb input source is selected on the projector.
also select the lowest resolution on the pc to start with. when a picture appears on the projector, then increase the pc screen resolution until it says it's not able to show it, and back off to the last setting that worked

I have borrowed a Optoma EP772 DLP proctor and I cannot get it to recognise my pc which is windows vista, on the projection screen it says no source found.
Press the Windows Button + P.
This should detect your secondary display automatically.

Can project tv screen on litepro
Check the "Default Source" using the remote or buttons on top of the projector.

Default Source toggles among Computer 1 analog, Computer 1 digital, Computer 2, and Video. This determines which source the projector checks first for active video during power-up. Highlight Default Source and click the left or right mouse button to toggle among the options.

Rolling picture
Have you tested the source machine on another TV or projector. The picture might be rolling before it gets to the projector so you need to verify whether it is the source machine or the content then you might be able to determine if it is the actual projector. Sounds like the vertical sync has got lost somewhere.

Hi clwhittaker

Try holding in the Fn ( function ) button and pressing the key in the F-row of buttons that's got one or two screens on it. This pushes the signal to the Projector.

Reversing the picture on the monitor
Here is the manual:
ScreenPlay 4805 ScreenPlay 4805
Check page 38 on picture settings, you can revers the image to project from behind a screen (mirror), I don' think you can have picture upside down (180 rotation) using projector settings. You need to reverse image source (eg. picture on computer).

you dont connect a projector to a tv. you connect a video source to the projector like a dvd player or a video machine.xbox 360 etc, the projector then projects the item connected to it, like your tv does when you connect similar items. The projector has a couple of inputs available to it ..this is why it is saying searching VGA and Composite video etc
