There are a few things that can cause you to lose wireless connection with your wireless router. 1. Weak signal strength, check the signal strength on your wireless card. If it is weak move the wireless router away from brick or concrete walls and if possible locate the wireless router higher up. 2. Have you secured your wireless router from people near your from unauthorized access? i.e. change the default password, setup encryption use WPA2 or WPA, change the default SSID, and turn off SSID broadcast, and for added protection, enable MAC address filtering which allows only the MAC address/es of your wireless card/s to connect to your wireless router. 3. You could be getting interference from electrical sources such as air conditioners, arc welders, washing machines etc. If so, the power supply to the wireless routers and computers etc should be connected to a surge protection power board, better still connect your computer equipment to an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply). 4. Check the channels of the wireless routers and access points in your area and change the broadcast channel on your wireless router to an unused channel or one that is currently used but has the weakest signal strength. Check weather any other device can detect wifi signal of your modem router. If it cannot detect the signal then it may be the complaint of your modem roter wifi.
If the other device can detect wifi of your modem router then back up the data of your phone and reset it. It will work fine.

you will always pay whatever the networks charge for internet aswell and if you need settings either look on sony ericsson's website or your networks website

First of all check these are ok: Check your network adapter settings to see if you have your wireless card enabled. If that is ok, see if you can pick up any other wifi access points apart from your own. If you can see others fine, this means your wifi card is working correctly. If you can see your own access point and not connect to it, check the signal strength, items like microwaves and cordless phones can interfere with the signal. If you have a good signal try connecting. If it is asking for a key/password, then you will need to find the authentication key for your wireless access point.
If you cannot see your wifi access point but can see others, then you may have SSID broadcasting disabled, or the wifi might not be functioning correctly. Check these in your access point settings.

If you are talking the wireless for the controllers they use bluetooth and the signal strength is dependent on how much interference there is around you. If you are speaking of the wifi capability for the network connection you cannot increase the strength of the signal from the PS3 it needs to be done with the wireless access point.

Once you get a "Network Error", there's a possibility that the phone does not established a good internet connection. But how do you connect to the internet? Is it via the wireless carrier or are you using the WiFi of your phone to connect into a wireless access point?
