SOURCE: having problem with facebook chat popping up

Okay, so what you need to do is go to the chat menu, after you close it, and go to the options menu. Then there should be an option to have pop-up/pop-out Facebook chat. Turn it off.

SOURCE: I can log on to my fb but none of the pages will

Ok, what you need to do is: Sign out of Facebook. Clear all the **** and cache of your internet server (eg: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox..). Then, try to log-in again and check if it works like normal.

SOURCE: Staying logged in at home and using my account

Even if you leave your account logged in at home, when you access your account somewhere else, it will automatically sign you out from your facebook at home. Also, you will be able to see your sent messages from wherever you access your facebook account from.

HOW CAN I DELETE ONE AT A TIME MY NOTIFICATIONS ON FACEBOOK

Facebook can send you notifications via email or text for almost every possible interaction on its website. The notifications can alert you if you've got a new message, were mentioned in a post, tagged in a photo or comments on your wall; among other things. You'll also see these interactions when you log in to Facebook. If you wish to remove certain notifications, you can opt out by editing your notification settings. Pop-up notifications that appear while you're logged in can be deleted immediately.
1. Log into your Facebook account.
2. Click the "Account" link, located at the top right corner of the page. Click "Account Settings" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Account Settings" page is displayed.
3. Click "Notifications" from the menu on the left side of the page. The "Notifications Settings" page is displayed.
4. Scroll to the "All Notifications" section of the page. A list of all notifications types appears, each with a check box next to it. Notifications you are subscribed to will have a check in the box, either under the "Email" column or the "Mobile" column.
5. Click the checked box next to each notification type you wish to remove. This will remove the check mark from the box and remove you from receiving the selected notification.

Make facebook my home page, facebook keeps dissconnecting me

Is it just facebook or your internet connection ??..
The Facebook Chat feature allows you to send and receive messages in real time with friends who are online.
Your chat box reveals a list of available friends you can chat with by clicking their names.
For those times when you're not up for chatting, you can choose from several different privacy options, including disconnecting Facebook Chat.
You can opt to disconnect it completely, or just partially allowing chat availability for certain people and not others.
You can reconnect in a few quick steps.
Facebook Chat Availability

Your Facebook Chat availability determines how you appear in your friends' chat lists.
When you're logged in to your Facebook account, your name appears in the chat sidebars of any friends who are currently logged in.
When you set your chat preference to available, a green box appears next to your name.
When you're available, but idle, a grey moon appears next to your name.
When you're unavailable, your name appears without an icon.

Adjusting Chat Availability
Adjust your chat availability to control the visibility of your name in friends' chat lists.
Sign in to your Facebook account and click the "Chat" box in the lower right corner of any page to open your chat list.
Click the "Options" icon in the upper right corner of the box.
Click "Go Offline" to disconnect your chat availability.
If you're using the Facebook Chat sidebar, click the "Options" icon in the upper right corner of the box. Click the "Chat" box to open the sidebar if it isn't showing up on your home page.
Click the "Available to Chat" option to delete the check mark, making yourself invisible and unavailable to chat. Click the "Limit Availability" option and use the resulting pop-up to choose which friend lists you wish to remain visible to. This allows you to chat with some friends without others knowing you're logged on.
Disconnected Facebook Chat
Once you disconnect Facebook Chat or limit your chat availability, your online presence will be invisible to other users.
You can still browse the Facebook site as you would normally.
The appearance of your chat list won't be altered by your availability; you'll still be able to see which of your friends are online and available to chat.
That is, as long as their chat availability isn't hidden or disconnected.

Your Chat Messages

If a friend attempts to message while your Facebook Chat is disconnected, the message will be delivered to your Facebook inbox.
You'll receive an on-site notification, as well as text or email notifications if you're set up for that, alerting you that you have a new message in your inbox.
Click the "Message" icon that appears in the upper left corner of any page upon signing in to your Facebook account.
Any new messages will appear in the drop-down list. Click the "See All Messages" link at the bottom of the box to access your inbox and respond to any messages.

In my chat box the messages i send to my friends they don't receive it but when i send them same messages through messages they receive it

Chances are the friend to whom you are sending might be accessing Facebook via mobile. Mobile Facebook does not provide chat notifications appropriately and it depends on the device too. When you send message or chat, both are now equal in Facebook. Recent Facebook version, what it does is, it combines chat and message into message section. Whatever you chat is sent as message to the person,if that person is offline or not responding to chat. If at the time of receiving message, you are online, then you receive it in chat window. At the same time, you might see notification in Message area.

Eventhough it is to an extent confusing, either way,you can reply/chat and you get all messages. In short, your message never gets lost. It gets to your friend. If he/she cannot see it in Chat, they can definitely see it in Messages section.

A series of updates came along with all kinds of bugs! The all known bug is online/offline chat.
Solution to your massive fonts are CTRL + Scroll on mouse. As far as I know there is no real solution for refreshing notifications, I would try with reinstalling web browser and installing a new one (Firefox, Chrome, Opera).

Good luck, Kobac

This is apparently a common enough issue for it to have it's own page in the Help section of Facebook. The issue is either your firewall is blocking websites that Facebook needs access to, or your browser is outdated. Here's the page:
