I have a 1.5 yr old Scott LCT32SHA 32" LCD HDTV and the thing goes off by itself constantly and sometimes goes to static and have to disconnect power to turn it off. I think it is the power supply, but where can you get one?

These power supplies are not longer manufactured or hard to find.
I repair them for a reasonable price. If you need further assistance, write to [email protected]

Mine was doing the same thing. Update the firmware and it fixes the problem. Updating the firmware is done by downloading the file to a thumb-drive from the phillips product support page then plugging in the drive into the side of your television and turning it on. See your manual for slightly better instructions.
This sounds like a proble with the unit's power supply in which case you could find a local tv repair shop and see how much they would charge to diagnose the issue.
If the power supply is repaired, you can install it yourself and save a few $$$$ on the labor.
I repair these power supplies as well. If you need more info write to [email protected]
We just repaired ours - same problems (did not replacc the 1000uF and 470uF Capacitors in secondary yet as ours were still OK, but the FET was killed by an arcing capacitor across a diode,
