I have a 1.5 yr old Scott LCT32SHA 32" LCD HDTV and the thing goes off by itself constantly and sometimes goes to static and have to disconnect power to turn it off. I think it is the power supply, but where can you get one?

Scott LCT32SHA LCD TV is having audio problems. Sound needs to be turned to max to get sound. New cable box installed today with no solution. Any suggestions?

Try to connect external speakers then try external amplified speakers. In this way you localize problem and find out what to fix/replace.

TV constantly goes off at any given time.

these sets have some bad capacitors in the power supply, if you look at them they are usually puffed up on the top.

Magnavox 42 LCD 42mf438b/f7 turns on/off by itself

Mine was doing the same thing. Update the firmware and it fixes the problem. Updating the firmware is done by downloading the file to a thumb-drive from the phillips product support page then plugging in the drive into the side of your television and turning it on. See your manual for slightly better instructions.

Scott lcd tv does not turn on

This sounds like a proble with the unit's power supply in which case you could find a local tv repair shop and see how much they would charge to diagnose the issue.

Scott lcd tv does not turn on

We just repaired ours - same problems (did not replacc the 1000uF and 470uF Capacitors in secondary yet as ours were still OK, but the FET was killed by an arcing capacitor across a diode,
See the page we created for this with pictures.

Be careful - High voltage!
